Our process
Why partner with Algofy?
User-level data:
A business using GA4 can see:
- How many times a particular user entered the website.
- How long that user visited a page or item.
- When that user converted.
This user-level data can help the business understand the user's interests and behavior, which will allow them to tailor their marketing efforts accordingly (e.g., by sending targeted email campaigns or retargeting ads).
Cross-device
tracking:
A business using GA4 can see:
- That a user has visited their website on one type of device.
- Made some action such as adding an item to their shopping cart.
- Then completed the purchase on a completely different device.
This cross-device tracking can help the business understand the user's behavior across different devices and optimize the user experience accordingly (e.g., by making their mobile website easier to navigate).
Enhanced data
collection:
An e-commerce website using GA4 can collect data from a variety of sources, such as their website and mobile app.
For example, the company can use GA4 to track the performance of their website and app, as well as collect data on customer behavior and preferences (e.g., which products are viewed or added to a shopping cart, which pages are visited most often, and which marketing campaigns are most effective).
This enhanced data collection can help the company understand their customers' preferences and behaviors, which will help them identify opportunities for improvement. Such as which products are most popular or which marketing strategies are most effective at driving sales.
Better integrations:
A business using GA4 can:
Integrate their analytics data with their Google Ads account to see how their advertising campaigns are performing and identify areas for improvement.
Additionally, a business can use GA4 to integrate with their customer relationship management (CRM) system, allowing them to see how their marketing and sales efforts are impacting customer behavior and lifetime value.
Automation &
Machine learning:
Automation:
A business using GA4 can set up alerts to notify them of any unusual activity on their website or app. For example, if there is a sudden drop in conversion rates or an unexpected increase in website traffic, GA4 can automatically send an alert to the business so they can investigate and take action as needed.
Machine Learning:
Additionally, GA4 can use machine learning to automatically identify trends and patterns in the data, such as which pages or products are most popular, and provide insights and recommendations to the business.

FAQs
How soon should I start worrying about switching to GA4?
On July 1st, 2023, Universal Analytics will be officially shut down and will no longer track data. This means if you do not have GA4 implemented by then, you will be flying completely blind with out Google Analytics. This makes getting your new GA4 container set up before July critical.
Will my favorite reports exist in GA4?
Google Analytics 4 has changed the way that we look at reports and data. In Universal Analytics we enjoyed pre-built reports, which made it quick and easy to find the data you needed to see. In GA4 these reports will need to be created by the user. Although this seems daunting, it will greatly improve the flexibility in what kind of data you want to see or report on.
What does the change from Universal Analytics to GA4 mean for goal tracking?
Universal Analytics uses a very outdated session based model to collect data. It's code is over 15 years old. This means that it has become obsolete in recent years. This is where GA4 comes in. Where Universal Analytics was session based, GA4 is purely event-based, meaning you can see each and every event a user takes on your website. With its machine learning capabilities, it is also on the cutting edge of the cookieless world we are rapidly heading towards.
How will the change affect my business?
Don't think of GA4 as an updated version of Universal Analytics, think of it as an entire new platform. GA4 is a completely new tool with a new data model and interface. Although it may come with a learning curve, this new version of Google Analytics is going to help prepare your business for the future. You will be able to see more and can allow Google's machine learning give you insights you may never had thought about.
What is the data retention like?
In Universal Analytics the data retention is 26 months, in GA4 this window has shrunk to 14 months. After that 14 month period, the data you have aggregated will stay in standard reports, but the disaggregated data will no longer be available.
Will the data from Universal still be accessible?
The data that currently exists in Universal Analytics will be available to download until December 2023. After that all the data in Universal will no longer be accessible.
